It has been a long time since I have posted. I don't really have much new to say. I am overworked and underpaid, and the result of this combination is that I have become rather lazy. It's really hard to get motivated to do housework when you're tired from working late--or all night.
My job was actually going really well, except that now the baby I was caring for overnight started sleeping through the night. (At 2 months old! And the parents think she has sleep problems...) So now the baby's parents are scheduling me all sorts of random hours, often in the late evening, which is the only time that Ethan is home. Sometimes it feels like we're playing "pass the baby". This weekend, for example, I worked until midnight last night, Ethan works all day today, comes home at 8:00, and I have to be at work at 8:30 for an overnight until 8:30 tomorrow morning, and then Ethan goes to work by 9:15. I think maybe we actually get to see each other tomorrow night, if everything goes as planned.
As I write this, Jacen is watching his Veggie Tales sing along movie. He would watch it all day if I let him. He especially likes "Endangered Love," where Larry is watching a soap opera about Barbara Manatee, and "Belly Button," a boy band mock where the lead singer confesses to his true love that he doesn't have a belly button. It really is quite silly.
