I love watching the Olympics. I don't care what sport, I'll watch it all day. Right now they're showing Women's Kayaking. It's amazing, watching them navigate backwards through the water current to get to the gates. Last night we were up past midnight watching the end of the Women's Gymnastics all-around. It was such a great competition, you had no idea what the final standings would be until after the last performance. So exciting! And the swimming has been exciting, too. Michael Phelps may be winning everything, but all of the races are close. I just love it.
I have a whole three-day weekend this weekend with nothing to do. And my house is clean (thanks to a visit from my wonderful mother-in-law!) and I don't have much laundry to do. It's fantastic.
Jacen's going through a talking burst, learning words right and left. He now says "yeah" as well as "no", and he's also starting some 2-word phrases like "all gone", or "all done". He learns things very quickly if he knows it makes you laugh; yesterday Ethan taught him that a pirate says, "Arrrgh!" and a dinosaur says, "Rar!" It's just hilarious.
And speaking of Ethan, he's being considered for a job that would be just perfect, so please pray for us over the next weeks that maybe this is the one!
Go Team USA!
