Tulip Time

Ethan and Jacen watching the parade. Of the 6 parades of the weekend, I think we watched 4 of them. Jacen was especially excited about the bands.

Jacen in the wooden shoe at the park the first day of Tulip Festival. It was crazy cold that day, and Jacen's costume looks tight and kind of poofy because I put so many layers of clothes underneath to keep him warm. He was to excited to care much about the cold, though!

Did I mention the tulips were beautiful this year? Jacen loved these purple ones.

We had a great time at the festival this year! We spent most of the weekend downtown, and even when we were at home, we still were part of the action, since our house is a block from the start of the parade route. Thursday was cold and windy, so we bundled up and watched the parade, but spent the rest of the day at home. Friday and Saturday were beautiful, so we got to spend more time outside at the Straat Market and ArtBurst. Jacen loved all of the excitement, the costumes, the music, everything.
