Thanksgiving--My Favorite Holiday

I am thankful for my husband. I am thankful that he is easygoing and doesn't get worked up when I don't have time to clean the house. I am thankful that he works so hard to provide for me and our boys. I'm thankful that he's such a great dad--one who makes his kids light up as soon as he walks in the room. I'm thankful that he loves me so solidly.

I'm thankful for my two amazing boys. I am thankful for Jacen's energy that get's me off the couch and out the door to do something every single day. I'm thankful for his developing mind and his intense desire to learn. I'm blessed by how often he surprises me with what comes out of his mouth. I am so thankful for his simple childhood faith that assumes God's presence is obvious. I am thankful for Archer's smiles that spread across is face so easily. I'm thankful for his early devotion to his brother. I'm thankful for his health--that he's eating and growing so well. I'm thankful for the sweet way he snuggles his face into my shoulder when he's sleepy. I'm thankful for the times he grabs my face for a slobbery baby kiss. I am thankful that I get to be their mom.

I am thankful for a job where I get to go every day and do what I love. I am blessed to work with people who believe the way I do, and who treat each other with kindness and respect. I am thankful for students who are excited to try new things and go out of the way to make our work fun. I am thankful for the ability to use texture and color to bring characters to life.

I am thankful that after only a year in Orange City we have found friends. I am thankful for people to talk to after church. I am thankful for people to have playdates with. I am thankful to have people who want to spend time with us.

I am thankful for my Father who has blessed me with all of these things, knowing full well I cannot begin to deserve any of them.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Thanks for the reminder, Amber! I'm glad you guys are settled in OC...at first I thought it was weird that you had to settle into your hometown, but when I think about it, it makes perfect sense. Happy Thanksgiving!
