White Christmas

Tonight we decorated for Christmas. This holiday has become so much more exciting experiencing it through a little pair of eyes. Christmas lights and bright wrapping paper give Jacen the giggles.

I have to tell you, though, we have the ugliest Christmas tree you have ever seen. Ethan and I bought it while we were engaged on an after-Christmas clearance sale at Wal-Mart for $15. It looked OK our first Christmas, but every year a few more branches break off and a few more needles fall off, so that by this year it has so many gaps that we couldn't find branches to hang ornaments on to cover the gaps. I think it's going in the dumpster after we take it down this year.

Jacen is starting to develop a personality. He has started doing things purposefully to make us laugh. He does "So-Big", gives high-fives, plays peek-a-boo, and babbles in response to a question. He's also developing preferences in toys and clothing. I can hold up two pairs of pj's and he'll tell me clearly which one he wants to wear. He's still very laid back and only gets upset if he's hungry or if you're eating and he's not.

Have I mentioned that we have a new puppy? Her name is Autumn, and she's a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Our last dog, Bella, is back living with her original owner, Ethan's sister Cassie. Autumn has been a very good dog so far. She learns quickly and is nearly house broken. She plays well with Jacen, although sometimes she gets too excited.

I guess that's all for now. It's about time I went to bed.

Amber! You have a baby! and a dog!

Wow! It truly has been a long time. A whole world I should say.

Thanks for directing me to your blog. And it's good to hear you are well. It's amazing to see where God's path leads us all, isn't it?

Cheers! And send my greetings to Ethan.
