Games for Kids that won't Bore Parents to Death

Lately Jacen is totally into board games. Now, I know I'm not the only parent who goes cross eyed after the fifth game in a row of Candy Land. And I'm always looking for suggestions, so here's a couple games I've found that I can play with Jacen without going crazy.

Kids of Catan: This one is definitely a favorite right now. Based on the adult game Settlers of Catan, players collect resources to build buildings in the town. The first one to build all of their buildings wins.

Veggie Tales Seek and Match: Your basic kids board game with a little bit of a twist. As you go around the board, you get to flip over tiles, looking for the ones that match the pictures on your character card.

Yahtzee: Ok, so we don't play the full rules of this game yet, but rolling the dice to get the numbers that match in set or sequence will keep Jacen busy for hours. When I play with him, we see how many of the combinations on the score card he can get.

Speedy Delivery: We got this one from the library, but I would go out and buy it if I could find it, because it is a good one! Players drive trucks through a city scape board picking up packages, but some bridges are not high enough to fit all your boxes, so you have to find the route to get all your boxes safely out of the maze.
