~Archer is potty trained! I put him in underwear about 3 weeks ago, and in the last week and a half he's only had 3 accidents! Not perfect, but good enough for me!
~Jacen turned 6. We took him and a friend bowling and out for pizza, and then had grandparents over to our house for cake and presents.
~We all got the flu. Fever, chills, body aches, headaches. Just plain miserable. But we're getting better, so hopefully we just got through it all at once, and can be healthy again for a while.
~Resolution update: I've kept up with my diet for two weeks now. I'm using an app called FatSecret on my tablet to track calories and exercise. It works well for me because it keeps me honest and keeps me from eating out of boredom. Sticking with my exercise plan has been harder. Between kids and work, it's just plain hard to find a time that works to work out every day. I'm at about half where I would like to be. But I'm working on it, and I'm trying to make it a priority.
Last week Monday I went through all of the kids' toys. I made a pile of things to get rid of, and put the toys left in the basement in plastic tubs. The tubs are a huge improvement over the cardboard boxes we were using both because they look better, and because the kids can't open them by themselves, so it forces the rule that they can only get one thing out at a time.
We had a craft night with our group of friends last week and I made a few applique t-shirts, one for my niece and one for Kaly. Ethan and I had a night out on Saturday night. Other than that, Ethan's been gone several evenings, so I spent a lot of time folding laundry, etc. in front of the TV. Not great for cutting my screen time, but at least I got a few chores done at the same time.
It's a lot to work on, and change doesn't come over night, but I'm pretty happy with my start on everything.
